Why Give?
The Georgetown Lombardi Arts and Humanities Program (AHP) strives to create moments of healing, creativity, and connection in every individual it reaches. Over the past 30 years, engagement with the arts has had a meaningful impact on the lives of patients, caregivers, visitors, and healthcare professionals at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and around the world.
We invite you to donate to the AHP. Your gift of any amount will help the AHP continue to provide free art and movement classes to our global community, foster a creative and constructive response to illness, and bring comfort and inspiration to those in need.
Who We Are
The AHP offers holistic care through music, expressive writing, movement, and visual arts. Additionally, the AHP aims to measure the impact of these therapeutic modalities on patients, family members, caregivers, medical staff, students, and community members at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Scientific research is a core pillar of the program, informing crucial work in patient care, staff care, and medical education.
In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the AHP extended its reach with free virtual classes. From yoga to expressive writing, these classes, led by resident artists, provide therapeutic outlets, emphasizing the program's commitment to encouraging creative responses to illness. Thank You for Your Support
Your donation to the Arts and Humanities Program (AHP) fuels transformative impact. By supporting groundbreaking research, you empower healing for patients and enhance the well-being of the entire healthcare community. Beyond a program, AHP is a thriving community where your support fortifies the bonds that make our events sources of inspiration.
